I'm in Texas and a certain ins. co. will not pay more than the 20 visits allowed by the policy per year for PT, Occ Therapy, ABA and Speech Therapy. This is not an ASO group. It has 2-4 employees. The ins. co. states that some of their plans 'do not allow for State Mandates'. In other words, State Mandates are excluded in the policy contract. The group plan that the group has does not allow for riders to be added to allow for unlimited therapy visits. They have a 100% plan after deductible. It is very costly. How is it possible that the State does not have precedence over the ins. co.?
