Palin: Obama quip ‘degrading’
March 20th, 2009
From the Kansas City Star, Christian Science Monitor:
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Friday said she was “shocked” by President Barack Obama’s gaffe about the Special Olympics. She called his off-handed remark on the Tonight Show “degrading,” especially since it was “coming from the most powerful position in the world.” From her statement:
“These athletes overcome more challenges, discrimination and adversity than most of us ever will. By the way, these athletes can outperform many of us and we should be proud of them. I hope President Obama’s comments do not reflect how he truly feels about the special needs community.”

My son and I remain strong Obama supporters. However, this video, said to be created before President Obama’s appearance on Leno, features our favorite Palin:

I can’t believe I voted for him or that our daughter with Down Syndrome voted for him. What a jerk.
