‘A chance to dance’
March 10th, 2009
From People magazine, story available on newsstands only:
A group of children with Down syndrome are enjoying their own dance class with the Boston Ballet, thanks to Mickey Cassella, director of physical therapy at Children’s Hospital Boston, who created the program in 2002. (That’s Mickey in red, at left.)
“They’ve gone way beyond my wildest expectations,” she says.”When I see their smiles — that’s everything to me. That’s the joy of movement.”

Mickey — We’ve often thought of you (Pat and I) through the years. Saw the great piece about your dance program on TV tonight and just wanted to “Hello and you’re obviously doing great things” Keep it up.
