January 24th, 2009
From the [Annapolis, MD] Capital:
Matthew Edwards, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, started his own own printing company with the help of the Providence Center in Millersville, MD. The non-profit organization helps some 500 adults with disabilities live more independently.
Mr. Edwards, 23, owns and operates Edward’s Printing Company, located in the center’s offices. He prints brochures, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, posters, raffle tickets, invitations and other items.
“I like having my own business because I like helping people out, giving them discounts and stuff,” he said. “It’s like any other business, it has its ups and downs.”
