Holiday toys for all
December 19th, 2008
From ABC7News Chicago: Toys “R” Us and the National Lekotek Center toy experts team up to recommend the hottest toys of 2008 for children with disabilities. Toys “R” Us has been producing the “Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids” for the past 16 years, and the list provides a wide range of toy recommendations appropriate for different ages and developmental abilities.
The toys are tested during therapeutic play sessions at Lekotek centers, and the list also includes toys from a range of different prices. Some examples include Play-Doh Silly Friends for strength building and a Fur Berries stuffed toy with different textures for sensory stimulation by Spin Master.
