Sales lag for wheelchair tickets at Michigan Stadium
June 19th, 2008From the Detroit Free Press:
In a settlement with the Justice Department earlier this year, the University of Michigan agreed to add more than 200 wheelchair-accessible seats to its stadium over the next two years. Some 84 will be installed this year, but university officials say that they have only sold 14 of them as season tickets — this in a stadium that has had a substantial season-ticket waiting list for the past decade.
The school’s ticket manager said he will broaden his marketing efforts.
