In an extended celebrity interview with Diane Sawyer, Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey (left) promote their planned Capitol Hill rally and their view that vaccines ‘play a major role’ in the incidence of autism in children.
McCarthy says she is not advocating the elimination of the vaccines, but says ingredients like mercury, ether and antifreeze should be removed. She says the shots given to children are “too many, too soon.” Experts have said there is no link between vaccines and autism. With video.
In an interview with Larry King last year, McCarthy said she would would never vaccinate another child of hers, and would take her fight to Congress.
