Columnist: Disabled mother fights for right to raise her child

From the San Jose [CA] Mercury News, an extended column by Patty Fisher about a woman with cerebral palsy and lupus who is fighting to get custody of her daughter. Nearly 20 years ago, when the woman went by a different name, she lost custody of her two sons. While the woman argues that she is just fighting for her rights as a person with disabilities, the cases have been clouded by allegations of abuse and failure to adequately care for the children.
