Juror: Latimer deserves parole
December 23rd, 2007
From the Canadian Press:
A juror who sent Robert Latimer to prison for the murder of his disabled daughter thinks the Saskatchewan farmer should be freed from prison and the government should look at changing the law that requires minimum sentences for such crimes.
“I thought he has served enough time already — way, way too much time — and I just feel they should let him out,” Kelly Keyko told The Canadian Press by telephone from his home in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
“It’s been long enough. He’s not a threat to society and, yeah, they should let him go.”
