Stuck and Suicidal in a Post-Katrina Trailer Park
August 10th, 2007A report on National Public Radio finds a crisis in mental health at the post-Katrina trailer parks managed by FEMA. A recent study in the Annals of Emergency Medicine found that that suicide attempts in several of the FEMA trailer parks are 79 times higher than the national average and major depression is 7 times higher than the national rate.
